The Golden Sunlight mine is an open pit gold mine in Jefferson County, Montana, approximately 25 mi (40 km) east of Butte, Montana. The mine sits at an elevation of 6,000 ft (1,829 m) on the Bull Mountain range. The mine has been in operation since 1975. It is mined by conventional open-pit methods. The Ruby Hill mine is located on the Battle Mountain/Eureka gold trend, less than one kilometer from the town of Eureka and 193 kilometres south of the Goldstrike Property.Mined intermittently from 1860 up to the 1980s, the Ruby Hill mining area then sat dormant for a number of years.
